We’re equal parts soulmates and teammates—laughing through chaos, growing through hardship, and loving like it’s our life’s work.
We would like to thank you for supporting Coop and Alex in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met the night before college started—introduced by friends at Barley House, the iconic SMU dive. It was love at first sight, then best friends, then finally more. Chronic illness fast-tracked us into adulthood, but it's given us the wisdom of 80-year-olds in 30-year-old bodies. We’ve lived lifetimes together already, and we wouldn’t change a thing.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We got married young—NYE 2019—after I was diagnosed with vasculitis. Our first year was wild: hospitals, chemo, and then COVID. We couldn’t leave the house, but Coop made it magical. We leaned into themed date nights—Bridgerton tea party, Miami Vice, Parisian café day—just us two. In the chaos, we chose joy. Those days became core memories.
What would you do with $20,000?Take the Euro trip we’ve dreamed about! Chronic illness put our travel plans on pause, but this would be our chance to explore the world together—gelato in Italy, cafés in Paris, aperol on the Amalfi coast. We’ve learned to savor the little things, and now we want to celebrate the big ones too.
