25 years of marriage this year. James, an army vet, deployed to Iraq twice when we were just starting our family. We are a strong unit!
We would like to thank you for supporting Colvert squared in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
As a little girl I had dreams of a silhouette of my future husband, over and over again. I only ever saw the silhouette of this mystery person. One day while at my friend’s house her boyfriend called and was coming over. He asked if he could bring his roommate. The door opened at her house and there stood the silhouette of my dreams! I nearly fell over - it was over from there. There was no way I was letting this man go, ever!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Seeing the look on my kids faces when they saw their daddy walk off the plane after being away in Iraq. Then, seeing the look on their daddy’s face when he got to wrap his arms around them. If I had to pick one, just as a couple and no kids it would have to be our motor two trip from Iowa to Montana. 2600 miles each on our own bike for a week vacation. We saw each other in a different light after spending this quality time together and enjoying the open road.
What would you do with $20,000?We would love to enjoy Germany again. While we were dating he was stationed in Germany and I went over to visit for a month. To see our relationship come full circle, this year being our 25th wedding anniversary would be amazing. lt would be a honeymoon we never got.
