How did your love story begin?

We met through sign language by volunteering in the deaf community. I went to an interpreted Bible meeting an hour away where the interpreter was Collin. I was impressed with his interpreting skills, but he was also very easy on the eyes. I temporarily moved to that town for a month and we became best friends, traveling to deaf events throughout the state and surrounding states. Our personalities just clicked. We felt like we knew each other forever!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We had the privilege to be invited to visit the beautiful island of Guadeloupe together. We had such a wonderful time there for a worldwide Bible convention. We met friends from France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and many various islands throughout the Caribbean. We loved touring the gorgeous island with its black and white sand beaches, hot springs, rainforests, etc, but the generosity and hospitality of the friends there was unremarkable! It’ll forever be remembered in our hearts!

What would you do with $20,000?

We would donate some of the money to continue supporting the deaf community and worldwide Bible education for over 1000 languages. We would also use some of the money to help with my healthcare. I’ve been struggling with a rare disease since I was 17 and it’s been worsening over the past decade. Since I’m no longer able to work, the money would help with my health expenses, our debt, and the financial hit we’ve faced since I stopped working.
