Connect How did your love story begin?

Like most love stories, ours began from the moment we laid eyes on each other, LITERALLY. It started in the fall of 2014, freshman year of college. We both had the same class. Our first assignment was to introduce ourselves to new classmates and find something in common. We both turned and looked at each other at the same time and immediately we noticed we had the same hazel eyes. To this day we tease each other saying it was more than just eye color we saw in each other’s eyes, but our future!!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory as a couple, as cliche as it sounds, was when we got to see each other for the first time in months after a long period of military training. That night we stayed up late talking under the stars. There was nothing fancy about it—just a blanket, some snacks, our cups of coffee, and the kind of conversation filled with laughs that made time disappear. It felt like the whole world quieted down just for us. It’s often the small, quiet moments that mean the most in a relationship.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we were to win the $20,000, it would go towards our families in helping them pay off some of their debt. Our families have contributed so much to our relationship and have taken care of us whenever in need. It’s only right to return the favor. We had also gotten married in 2022, so paying our loans from our wedding would help us immensely. With whatever money we have left, we have always wanted to put it towards a good cause and donate to a charity or help our local homeless shelters.
