Cody and I have been married for 15 years now. Honestly communication and always making each other laugh keeps us going strong!
We would like to thank you for supporting Cody & Maria in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Cody and I met when I was 17 and he was 25. He had never been in a serious relationship before. We had noticed each other hanging in town with other young adults. He asked me to attend a party with him and I went. He got scared a couple of times and broke up with me however, our care for each other and eventually love kept growing. He was never violent and always considerate. Anytime anyone needed him, especially family, he always showed up. We ended up getting married a year later.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Cody and I have overcome a lot over the years. The first two years of our marriage were very difficult because of addiction. My favorite memory of us is the day our first daughter was born. Cody has been an amazing father and husband. He has always put me first and proved that the day she was born. He made sure all of my needs were met and continued to split the work with me the way a partner should. The pride and concern written all over his face that day is unforgettable.
What would you do with $20,000?We would pay off a good portion of our debt and take a vacation just the two of us. We have only had one weekend trip together just the two of us since our honeymoon. It would be amazing to go away without our kids on a romantic getaway.
