We met “online” while he was serving in Iraq supporting OIF. A friend of mine mentioned she knew a really great guy that could use a “penpal.” What started out as casual AOL chats turned into phone calls (and they had to pay for internet/phone back in 2003-2004). He sold his TV around New Year’s Eve to be able to talk with me for 15 minutes. And then, the day they returned, January 27th- he got himself cleaned up and came to meet me in person at 11pm EST. That SMILE!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We have shared so many memories as a family of 4. Our 2 daughters are our world. Beyond that, our mutual love for children with special needs has been the biggest blessing! Through my work and our military career, we have met countless families that we now consider FAMILY, and we have done our best to support them any way we know how. It’s such a blessing we both share such a love for kids, but especially children who have special needs. And they LOVE us! They trust us! It’s surreal!
What would you do with $20,000?We would most likely use it to pay off debt. We want to have a home built near the lakes of TN. We want to continue to provide families with the opportunity to enjoy boat days (and having our own slip is ideal)! We are actively paying off debt, but the blessing of $20K would definitely go a long way with doing it sooner than later!
