How did your love story begin?

When Cliff and I met, we were both in transitional phases of our lives. Cliff was recovering from a massive heart attack and I was finally speaking up against the man who sexually abused me. He met me at my rawest and most vulnerable, and met him as he was facing his own mortality, 7 stints in his heart and lived to tell! Once we met, we instantly became each others ride or die. Shortly after we went into lockdown, due to Covid. Ever since he's been the blue cheese to my Buffalo wing!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Cliff and I are all about community and the arts. On our second date we took a bus trip to a neighboring town to witness several artists from Buffalo and Rochester in an abandoned school. Unfortunately the bus to get us back broke down and we were stranded! But we made the best of it, we talked about the art and how to survive a zombie apocalypse. I knew that night he was who I wanted to navigate this life and any potential zombie apocalypse with.

What would you do with $20,000?

Since we love art, food, and life, we would love to go to Europe. Cliff is an avid Arsenal FC fan, so London would be a life long dream. And an evening in Paris with the love of my life, is more than I ever allowed myself to dream of. But we would also invest in our garden/home, stock community fridge for a month, and support local artists, local art school and independent book stores .
