We’ve been together 12 years. Loved each other through bad jobs, COVID, 3 years of infertility and a hard pregnancy.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We grew up just 30 miles apart but didn’t meet until we were adults. He was working for my dad as a wildland firefighter. At the time, we were both in other relationships and actually met through our significant others, who worked together. Over the next year or so, those relationships ended, but our friendship stuck—and over time, it naturally grew into something more. Now it’s a relationship built on a solid foundation of love, laughter, and an abundance of sarcasm.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?During a difficult pregnancy in 2023/2024, I spent 22 days in the hospital. Johann managed work, cared for our pets, and drove 30 miles each way to visit me daily. Just after Christmas, when I was missing home the most, he surprised me with a custom portrait of our Mini American Eskimo dressed as Queen Elizabeth. It was hilarious and heartwarming—everyone who saw it loved it, and it made me feel a little less alone when he had to leave.
What would you do with $20,000?Set up a college fund for our son, and pay off lingering medical bills and some debt we incurred while caring for our son this year.
