How did your love story begin?

We first met serving the media team at church. We would have a great time laughing and making jokes as we recorded the announcements. Over time, we began to confide in each other and develop a strong friendship. We haven’t always been together but every time we reconnect, it’s only minutes before we remember why we fell in love in the first place. Since 2014, we have shared many milestones (high school graduations, birthdays, college graduations etc) and the best is yet to come.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

It’s impossible to leave our presence without a smile. Every conversation, from a simple good morning to a serious heart to heart , includes laughter. Sometimes, it’s so deep that it heals something that was broken. Our best memories are the ones that remind us of our friendship and include others in the laughter we share. We made a promise to each other that we would never go to bed without laughing and proud to say we’ve kept our promises.

What would you do with $20,000?

When Christine was a senior in high school, she took an interior design class and had to draw up a floor plan for a fictional family. Instead of making up her own characters, she decided to take the picture of her and Marquis from prom and put it on her project. She presented to the class, not knowing that it would be 10 years before that dream would ever be reality. If we had $20,000, we’d put it as a down payment on a house to create a space where they can invite others to their loving home.
