Connect How did your love story begin?

11 years ago we met doing a Musical at our local college. She was the dance captain and I was one of the lead actors. I was drawn to her confidence and beauty and she says I won her over with my singing. To my delight we were put into a steamy dance number together, which I later realized was all her idea considering she was the choreographer. Our onstage intimacy inevitably led to a connection offstage at our wrap party. 3 years later, I proposed to her on the very same stage we first met.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

By far, our favorite memory is our honeymoon. We went full cliché and spent 8 days in Maui. Because neither of us grew up with a lot of money, we tend to not go all out and splurge on ourselves. But our honeymoon was the one time we threw caution to the wind and lived it up like we were Hawaiian royalty. From luaus to waterfall hikes to Mai Tais in the jacuzzi, it was a truly magical experience. And after the trip, the inside jokes and one-liners are the gift that keeps on giving!

What would you do with $20,000?

Because neither of our families were able to help us out financially when we started our lives together, we've been playing catch up to other people in our age group it feels like. With $20,000 we would be able to put a down payment on a house and really dig our roots into our hometown. As the years go by, the idea of being able to own our own home starts to feel like only a fantasy. It would be a dream come true to have a place that was just for us to fill with singing, dancing and love.
