Connect How did your love story begin?

In a tale as old as time, we both swiped right on a dating app! We talked for a month before finally meeting in person; Our second date he told me he was going to marry me and the rest is history. Our first year was long distance between DC and Baltimore, he moved in with me in DC but in 2023 we decided to head back to Baltimore. We have 4 fur babies running around the house and we’re more in love than ever! I never thought I’d meet my soulmate on a dating app, but fate had its own ideas!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

It sounds so cheesy but it’s hard to pick a favorite! We are truly each other’s best friend and it doesn’t matter what we’re doing as long as we’re together. If I had to pick, we love to watch baking competitions and one weekend we binged a whole season of Is It Cake? and got SO ridiculously competitive over it you’d think we were watching the World Cup. We constantly make each other laugh, he’s just my most favorite person in the entire world and I love every minute with him.

What would you do with $20,000?

We have been trying to save for the past year but disposable income isn’t thick on the ground for us, so it would be a huge blessing to finally have the opportunity to fix my grandmother’s ring so we can have a proper engagement. We’d love to have it done while his grandmother is still with us, but financially we just have other things to prioritize. The rest would be put away as a down payment for our first home! We’ve also never been able to have a true vacation, so that would be amazing.
