How did your love story begin?

4th gr. Best friends .. teenage yrs we met under the basketball goal at a local church and dance to “son of a preacher man” while venting about our relationship issues.. I got married, he came to my wedding, all tore up because it wasn’t him… he drove by my family home at Xmas 4 months later, and he stopped and ran out as I was getting presents out of the trunk.. we sat on the sidewalk innocently for over an hour catching up on life… while my husband sat inside wondering where I was…

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

5 months later, husband told he he didn’t want to be married anymore and while moving out I went by Chris’ mom’s restaurant with tear in my eyes and asked for a sweet tea.. after telling her what had happened, she called Chris, he called me and invited me out to lunch, and we’ve been together ever since! Ultimate, meant to be re-bound , going on 27 yrs , with a 24 and 21yr old girls , empty nesting and still going strong, through all the ups and downs of life!

What would you do with $20,000?

We would pay down our mortgage and upgrade our property that we have lived at for 23 yrs!!! We love our home and property and we would just invest that money to make it all even better !! So many memories built here.❤️❤️ has it been easy, no, but we have loved each other through thick and thin.! Perimenopause has not been fun, empty nest had had its challenges , and has his recent layoff threw us for a loop, but God is good and has showed us brighter days with each other through it ALL!!!!
