He was roofing my grandad’s house; I was just trying to get to work. Gave him my number “for emergencies” - he took it with a smile that said otherwise. Later, he called while I was mid-bubble bath to move my car—cue the awkward “I’m naked but give me a sec” moment. Months passed. My mom begged me to text him, I didn’t because it was business! Then hinge and a mutual friend stepped in. We finally had a reason to text. Fate (and poor parking) brought us together. Been in love ever since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Early on, we had the marriage talk. I poured out my lifelong dreams—he shared his fears. I cried, heartbroken, wondering if we wanted the same future. That night, I questioned everything. But the next day, he showed up—flowers in hand—saying he’d never thought about marriage until me. He couldn’t imagine life without me and wanted to spend forever making me happy. We stayed up dreaming together. That night, I saw my future clearly—and he was in it.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we won, the $20,000 would go straight to the wedding of our dreams—hopefully within the next 3 years. We’d get married tomorrow if we could afford it, but I’ve been curating my Pinterest board since I was 12, and let’s just say… she dreams big. After 13 years of planning, I’m not aiming for a rinky-dink affair. I mean seriously—have you seen how expensive weddings are these days?!
