After swiping yes, we chatted for a long time before deciding to meet up for tacos and tequila on Cinco de Mayo. He caught my attention with his lemon tree he grew in his closet and I caught his with my love for plants and animals. We quickly bonded over our love for the outdoors and good food. This led us to our journey together to build a sustainable farm and cafe.

Six months into our relationship we left the country for the trip of a life time. Planning for a six month adventure, we traveled to Thailand, Australia, Costa Rica and Panama. We volunteered on farms and restaurants, learning about agriculture across the world and emerging ourselves in other cultures. We got caught in a rainstorm at night on a motorbike in Thailand, went scuba diving, sewed pouches for baby kangaroos caught in the Australia wildfires and dog sat near a volcano in Costa Rica.

Six years into our relationship and dreaming of starting our own farm and we finally have been able to purchase property to go after our dreams. This money would jump start our farmstead and let us get the property ready for our wedding next year! We currently have chickens and ducks but would like to upgrade our fencing so we can get pigs and possibly goats or sheep as well. Feeding our community nourishing food via regenerative means is the big goal for us.
