Connect How did your love story begin?

We met at an 18 & older dance club in Bend OR. He arrived with his friend from Hayward CA. They were there to work for his uncle for a few months. It’s winter in Bend. There’s snow on the ground & he was in a tank top & basketball shorts. He was tall dark & owe so handsome. Him & his friend decided to have a “Kid&Play” dance off & they won hands down, flawlessly! After, I went up & asked him to dance, for which he said “no, but I’ll dance w/your friend”, she was taller. But that didn’t stop me.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is when we decided to pack up our lives in Central California of 30yrs, as a family (my oldest son, his wife, our first granddaughter; our daughter & our youngest son) and move to San Diego County. It has been the best move & now we all live on a couple acres together, enjoying more of the good & the bad but together we’re stronger thru the ugly, which are few and far between.

What would you do with $20,000?

There’s a few things we’d enjoy. We’re refurbishing a barn for my son, beautiful daughter-in-law & 4 grand-babies to live in since currently they live above the garage in a tiny “studio” apt (the 6 of them). It’s the reason we bought the house we’re living in, the barn! It’s been a long process, but these funds would help make that dream come true! My daughter is also getting married, the funds would help with that. Finally, we’d use some of those funds to take a weekend beach getaway!
