Our love story began at Switchyard Skatepark. Margaret had just moved to Bloomington after her divorce and was rollerskating with a friend when she spotted Chad, a cute guy, skateboarding. Although they didn’t talk then, two weeks later, Margaret found Chad’s dating profile and was impressed to learn he was a legally blind graphic designer. She sent him a message, as she had just discovered that she had an invisible disability called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and we've been together ever since.

Chad and Margaret create their best memories during their walks. One of our favs was strolling along the beach under the supermoon while visiting Margaret's parents in Florida. However, it doesn't have to be a romantic settings for it to be a memory making walk; we also find a lot of joy in the simple everyday things like going to the grocery or walking around Indiana Universtity campus, as those are the times when we get to talk, riff, and create our own inside jokes.

Margaret is currently a full-time student with a disability who has also gone through a huge life transition over the last six years. After three years of dating, Chad and Margaret have been talking more and more about getting married, buying a house, and starting a family. But financially, these things feel very far away. Winning $20,000 would change our lives and help make our wildest "homemaking" dreams come true.
