We met 8 years ago. And now 3 years later, we have 2 corgis and a whole journey ahead of us. There’s more to this story.
We would like to thank you for supporting Chabby in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
It all started on a winter December night 2017. We were members of the LDS church and met a church meeting. I thought he was quadriplegic and he thought I was a knock out. We clicked instantly that night, went on our first date the very next night. We dated for about 5 months but it just didn’t work. I married someone else and he went on with his life. After a year of a failed marriage on my end. We reunited or as he likes to say “he swooped in” we have been married for 3 years now.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I would have to go to a sad memory but it is also my strongest memory of pure, true love from my husband. In December of 2024 I ended up in the ICU during Christmas and new years. My husband in true Chandler fashion (that’s his name) brought our table tree from our apartment into the ICU room because he just wanted to give me a little bit of Christmas even if it was in a very depressing place. He made the most out of a scary situation and I fell in love with his kind heart a little more.
What would you do with $20,000?We would most likely use it to buy a house and start a family or simply just enjoy each other's company and celebrate life and the opportunity of loving each other even when we came from completely different backgrounds. I was born and raised in Ecuador and he was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona.
