How did your love story begin?

I met John at Church. Linda from work invited me to come. I worked with a sewing center catering to homeless and women coming out of trauma then. I was a sewing instructor.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

The day we walked through the Manhattan bridge was such a highlight. John taking pictures, immersed in the City lights. We ended up in a Mediterranean restaurant and had a glass of wine.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would invest either in our non profit. We are behind our electric bill, and also in buying our first small home. John is 71 and I am 65. We both work hard. We live in apart complex. I would cherish a small Plot of land and a garden. Ah the outdoor. We will continue the nonprofit because it serves so well a category of young people who want to learn to sew.
