Connect How did your love story begin?

I met a guy who became a stalker. He would not take no for an answer. He lived about 8 miles away and would walk to get to my house because he didn’t have a car. My dad kept sending him away, but one day he was smart and asked a neighbor if he would take him to see me. The neighbor agreed. When the stalker knocked, I opened the door & just about slammed it back shut. Before I could, a hot guy emerged from the shadows & I let him in. That was the start of our love story.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We were 17 & 19 when we got married and I was 4 months pregnant. I didn’t get to have the dream dress experience or my dream photos & video. For our 13th anniversary, we held a party for immediate family & I got my dream dress & Casey was in a tux. We got ready with our daughters and my mom, which was really special. We had a first look, my dad made a toast, we danced under the twinkling lights—our 13th anniversary party was the happiest day of my life. I felt like a glowing bride.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use it to ensure our daughters had the chance to have their dream weddings in the near future. I’d make sure they each got the wedding dress, photographer and videographer they dream about so they would get the chance to feel as happy, confident and beautiful as I did on our 13th anniversary celebration. So we would put it away in a special savings account until those moments arrived. Which might be soon as our oldest has been dating her boyfriend for 18 months now. :)
