Our modern day love story began with a hinge match! Our first date was at a restaurant in downtown Wilmington NC. Carter was late because he was convinced I would be on "hot girl time". He ran to meet me (in August!) and thanks to the humidity, he continued to profusely sweat the entire date. I was amused, perplexed, and interested. We slowly started getting to know each other and spending time with each other - exploring the city, playing volleyball, going to the beach, and falling in love!

Early in our relationship, we missed a layover while traveling to a wedding (distracted by airport sushi and beer). Instead of freaking out - we made getting to this wedding a race! We snagged first class plane tickets the next day, enjoyed free champagne and bourbon in the air (with curlers in my hair), landed 30 minutes before the vows, got ready in an Uber, and somehow made the reception! We both agreed it was a testament that we could get through any setback and have fun while doing so!

We need a car! My car has 180,000 miles and was side swiped when I was staying at Carter's house back when we were dating. My dad joke's that "if you weren't living in sin, you wouldn't have been side swiped!" We got married and moved in together and haven't been able to fix it! We are hoping to start a family soon and honestly we'll probably get a mini van or soccer mom car :)
