Connect How did your love story begin?

We met through mutual friends—he lived with the guy, and the girl did my hair. She mentioned us all hanging out, and for some reason, I actually texted him. When plans changed, it ended up being just the two of us at Scarowinds that night. We spent the evening talking in line for rides, and we instantly knew this was it. We’ve been inseparable ever since—spending every weekend together, and now we live together.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory as a couple is our first trip together. We hadn’t been dating long, but Garrett wanted to go to Georgia to buy a motorcycle—so naturally, we turned it into a little getaway. We stayed in a mountain cabin with a nice hot tub and a beautiful view. That night, we made dinner together for the first time. We made homemade alfredo, caesar salad, and garlic bread. Garrett even attempted a giant cookie… which he proudly burned to a crisp.

What would you do with $20,000?

Our goal in the next year is to buy or build our first home. We’re working hard and trying to save as much as possible. We hope to find the somewhere close to both of our families. They mean everything to us! Winning $20,000 would help us make a life changing down payment on our dream home. We’re ready to start our life together on the right foot and a house would set us up forever.
