Ken winked at me often when he saw me at work. I never noticed as I was divorced three years and was not interested. I stepped out of glass window office and introduced myself. We had one date in late Nov and he sent me a Poinsettia Plant for Christmas. We were taking it slow. He had 2 sons, I had 2 daughters, close in age. Visitation and finances made our dating difficult. Over a 10 year period we dated on and off, then married in Aug. 20th,1988. Four children 2 each, 8 grandchildren.

Most couples plan a romantic honeymoon, possibly a cruise, fly to Hawaii. We decided to drive to St. Louis. Missouri. We had a 5 day getaway that was so special. Weather perfect, we visited Busch Gardens, St. Louis Zoo, and attended baseball game against the Reds. It was worry free, our children were older, my youngest was a freshman in High School. We loved our trip. Gals at work would ask where we went on our honeymoon and seem unimpressed. Just being together was all that mattered.

I would celebrate with a nice steak dinner with Ken. Then put the rest towards future trips we hope to take. We love traveling to Fernandina Beach, FL. We hope to drive to Canada at some point and visit friends in northern Illinois. We have grandchildren out of state, just more chances to see them. Thanks for the opportunity to be in contest!
