We met as teammates on our college rugby team. That dynamic couldn’t have made us more close, as we’re so deeply in love. Let’s go lesbians!
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We met playing rugby at UCSB. By the end of our junior year we started to hang out outside of rugby, but were too afraid to admit our true feelings for each other. We spent the following summer studying abroad on different sides of the world. When we came back to start senior year, being reunited after the summer apart made us realize how special we were to each other.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Before we were official, Carly took me (Erica) to her hometown in LA for the first time. On this trip, Carly surprised me with tickets to Cirque du Soleil. It was my first time going to this show, but it was one of Carly’s favorite childhood memories. During intermission, we were standing by our seats when Carly hugged me and I started crying. I told her there was something I’d been wanting to tell her for a long while now. That was the first time we ever said “I love you”.
What would you do with $20,000?We are recent college grads, so money is tight. $20,000 would set us up for the rest of the beautiful life we have planned together! I (Erica) plan on moving to New Zealand in 2026 to play rugby. After that we plan on moving to Spain together to continue my rugby career and further Carly’s career in education.
