We met in college performing acting scenes in the play “A raisin in the sun” where we were cast as husband and wife. Our mutual friend was completing her senior project in theatre and asked if we would play these roles. We did not know each other and on the first day of rehearsal was the first time we met. After dating for 6 years, we got married and have now been happily married for 33 years!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Celebrating our 10th year wedding anniversary. We wanted to share it with couples who were special in our lives. We orchestrated a weekend marriage retreat where we invited 25 couples to celebrate with us. During the retreat we had speakers, activities, games, teaching, gifts, and food as our way of saying thank you to them. There were many significant moments that happened during the retreat that became the catalyst for our strength and how we operate, even today, in our marriage journey.
What would you do with $20,000?With the $20,000, we would invest it into our Marriage business called Power Couples Rock. This is where we are intentional with creating purposeful pathways, tools, and resources to help other marriages and relationships thrive and become masterful. It is important to us that marriages are celebrated, strong, and serve as a model for healthy relationships.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like America's Favorite Couple, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
