Carl and I met right after his father passed away. We met in our friends kitchen and got engaged in December. I get to marry my best friend.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
Carl & I met unexpectedly in a friends kitchen. I was charging my phone & limited to 3ft from the wall; he was sitting at the counter. We started talking & he asked if I wanted to travel & we talked about a dream trip to japan. I was adopted & my 23 and Me results say I am Korean-Japanese. He grew up in Ohio & I in Colorado. Before he went home that night he asked for my cellphone, put his number in & called himself & said “ok now I have your # and you have mine.” He asked me out right away.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? One of my favorite memories of Jess is when I was sad after losing my dad & she threw me a birthday party, inviting all of my friends. She knew I needed joy in my life & she made sure I had the support & love I needed to get through it. She stood by my side as I grieved the death of my dad, encouraging me to make better choices. She saved me and is my best friend.
What would you do with $20,000?We would either use it to pay for our wedding or take a dream trip to Korea & Japan so we can see Jess’ roots. As an adoptee it has always been a dream of hers to go back & see her homeland & reconnect with her roots. Or we would use it towards our family planning as we can’t wait to have a family of our own.
