Connect How did your love story begin?

We met at a friend's home for a gathering. Having known both our host & Dan's brother as friends for some time, I was perplexed to not have met him yet. He was in Boston for school & I attended in Chicago but right away I knew he had the right stuff, poor guy. I convinced him to hang out with me & some other folks so we could vet each other a bit & sure enough, he's the bees knees. Way more talented as both an architect & athlete alike than I am, but I love his passion & focus. I love this man!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Goodness, this one is loaded. I remember one of our first kisses, it was a damn delight. At the bottom of a spiral staircase before he had to take whatever cash I had on me for bail money for another friend. Otherwise, one of my favorites would have to be seeing our dream built in Woodstock, IL as it rose into space. Actually seeing things come to fruition before & after all the hustle & bustle is truly satisfying. We're fortunate to work for ourselves but it certainly brings its own challenges.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would re-invest into our dream, Kishwaukee Brewing Co. in Woodstock, IL. Close to where we both grew up & also home to multiple film/tv features, it's a blast from the past & obviously nostalgic.
