Candice and Steve met through mutual close friends. They immediately both knew that there was a spark. They began hanging out not too long after that. For their first date, they spent the day walking around Philly, talking about music and everything in between. They realized they had been in each other's orbit for a long time, unknowingly. About a month later, Candice needed housing. She asked to crash with Steve temporarily, but during that time, they fell in love, and the rest is history.

This is the more generic answer, but our wedding day! We were together for 10 years before getting married. In that time, we dealt with death, overcoming substance abuse, mental health changes, and trying to decide if we were a compatible match vs. just being comfortable. So when we got married, it was like we were being rewarded. We chose that we were each other's person, and the day vibrated with that love and energy. Our marriage was a true celebration of the life we created and our future.

Start a family! We have always been each other's support systems, but it's been hard to get a leg up and build the stability that we dream of. We have both changed for the better, and we are ready to take that next step, and honestly, our finances are what is holding us back. We would like to buy our first house, start trying to have a baby, and just find the same peace we have found in being with each other.
