Connect How did your love story begin?

I had recently gotten out of an abusive relationship and took a few month to be alone and heal. My sister suggested I get back out there just to have a good time and maybe make some friends. I met him on bumble. On our first date I didn’t go in looking for love or a boyfriend. But the second we saw each other I thought Jesus he’s hot! What was supposed to be a dinner date lasted 6 hours, we closed the restaurant down and then sat in his car and talked till about 2am. It was all very natural.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our third date was a movie date, we went and saw Shrek 2 for the 20th anniversary screening. It’s honestly my favorite date of ours! We snuggled in that theatre and got ramen afterwards. To this day no matter what we’re doing if All Star comes on we sing that song full volume. I know that songs from the first Shrek but it’s become our song and Shrek 2 is definitely a movie that just makes me look at him and think about how lucky I was to get someone so emotionally vulnerable and understanding.

What would you do with $20,000?

I think we’d have to have a discussion about what would happen with the money, whether we split it or do something together with the whole sum. If split i’s love to use my half to finally pay off some of my debt and have some of the stress lifted from my shoulders. If we shared it I would love to put it towards a down payment for us to have our own home and build our life together as a couple, we could live out our cottage dreams, he can have his gamer room and I can have my garden!
