We met by a # on Instagram 11 years ago. Through time, other partners, and circumstance, we found our way back together. Now, we are 3. :-)
We would like to thank you for supporting Caleb & Nichole Short in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met On the 96th floor of the iconic Hancock Tower in Chicago. I was in town for a family reunion; we agreed to meet my first night in town. He rode a bus from Iowa; I flew in from Arkansas. Even though he was running late, I excitedly awaited his arrival and when he showed up, we were both smitten… but miles and years separated our love after that first weekend together. We watched each other on social media from afar, until time and circumstance brought us together again.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Finding out we were having our baby! Soon before we learned I was pregnant, my husband dreamt of a baby with a unique name. When he told me about his dream I immediately fell in love with the name and we knew we would give the same one to our child when we found out our baby was on the way.
What would you do with $20,000?I would invest it into my budding creative business and into my husband’s competing cycling. We would also invest it into our little one’s savings account that we started when he was 1 year old.
