We first met each other on a dating app, which led to a long and silly phone call with Elijah. We eventually found out we had a friend in common, who helped us link up together. I initially friend zoned him, as I was just getting over another relationship. We became best friends, but Elijah always expressed his interest in me. Just as he was moving out-of-state for a job opportunity, we decided to give a relationship a shot. We’re now 4 years strong and engaged to be married next year.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory would be when we were dating long-distance and I visited Elijah in New Orleans, where he was currently living. I had just gotten there as Hurricane Ida was coming in. We had to evacuate right away and ended up linking up with my brother’s wife and her friends to all stay together in an RV at a friend of their’s property in Florida. Such a stressful situation turned into such an adventure. We went bar hopping, explored Pensacola, and even said “I love you” for the first time.
What would you do with $20,000?Winning $20,000 would drastically change our life together. The past few years have been hard on us both financially, and with a wedding coming up in less than a year, it would help us to have the wedding and honeymoon we dream of as well as paying off our debt and putting a down payment on a home after the wedding.
