Connect How did your love story begin?

We met our sophomore year of undergrad because of a mutual friend, but it wasn’t until our junior year that we started dating. We started our relationship originally with no strings attached, but that quickly turned into a drunken love confession on Cade’s end on their 21st birthday. After that Faith proposed to Cade on the Blue Ridge parkway on May 23rd 2023. We live together in the DC metro area now with our cat Toulouse. And we have a date booked with a wedding venue for September of 2026!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My favorite memory of us, is well, it’s super hard to pick. I love all of our quiet moments together, but what’s coming to mind for me right now is when I proposed to Faith a month after she proposed to me. I set up a scavenger hunt around our college campus where they hit a bunch of spots that are meaningful to us and then they found me waiting with a picnic set up. I played them a song I wrote on my guitar and in the song I asked them to marry me. They cried and were super surprised.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would be able to do the honeymoon that we dream of doing. Which is a trip to Finland’s Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort. It would be a dream come true for both of us to actually be able to take that trip without stressing so much about finances.
