Connect How did your love story begin?

Although we were sharing a class for a semester, both of us were too shy to make a move. However, after a fateful bump in the hallway, we locked eyes for what seemed like an eternity. It drew us to start talking and sharing each other's stories and we clicked instantly. Despite us being seniors going to different colleges, initial cultural barriers, and strict households, we took a leap of faith and decided to spend our last year as high schoolers together.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

After a grueling year of radiation and chemotherapy, Jacob was declared to be in remission. Like our hallway gaze, the hug we had outside the hospital after the news felt like an eternity, full of emotion, tears, and warmth. It was not just a showcase of health and survival, it was a showcase of our love and our willingness to fight life's most arduous challenges together. That hug, while brief, is our favorite memory as it encapsulates the love and strength within us as a couple.

What would you do with $20,000?

Since cancer put a pause in our academics, we had lost a lot of opportunities that would have helped us greatly in our journeys of becoming a filmmaker and lawyer respectively. With the money, we intend to resume our journeys and fulfill our dreams and furthering our educations. This means funding Bryn's Law School, funding Jacob's films, and paying off the rest of Jacob's appointments, as unfortunately cancer will always be a lifelong battle and scare for us.
