We met in high school—back when I was dating someone else and trying to set Bryan up with another girl. I spent so much time talking to him, trying to figure out what he and this other girl had in common. Somewhere along the way, it hit me: I really liked this boy and wanted him for myself. Five years later, he finally asked me to marry him. The rest is our beautiful forever.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?From the day we were married and ran through a storm leaving the church, to the joy of welcoming our two children into the world—each moment has been a chapter in our story. We’ve held hands through loss, saying goodbye to so many loved ones.In those moments of heartbreak, there was still beauty—because we had each other. We’ve traveled, celebrated milestones, and he’s cheered me on through three degrees. Every moment with him is a memory I treasure. It’s impossible to choose just one.
What would you do with $20,000?Our oldest starts college this fall, so we’d definitely use it to give her a strong start on this new journey. Whatever’s left would probably fund another one of our family’s vacation adventures—making memories together is something we never take for granted.
