We were both divorced from long time relationships where our spouses had cheated on us. Neither of us wanted to get serious let alone ever get married again. He messaged me on Facebook to say hi, (we had went to the same high school) and I ignored the message for 2 months. But my best friend kept nagging me to message him back. So finally I did. We set up a date and I went in with no expectations. We had a blast and set up a date for the following day. We’ve been married now for 6 years.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?The day we became parents. With my age, and having complications during the pregnancy and delivery, it was the scariest but most beautiful day I’ve ever experienced. We have a healthy, smart, funny, and beautiful daughter and I am so thankful to have her and have my husband as her father. He is everything a good dad should be.
What would you do with $20,000?There’s so many things we would love to do with it! First, would be to set up a college/future fund for our daughter Elisabeth. Paying off our debt is at the top of the list as well. I would like to put some of that money towards a basement renovation that we so desperately need. And then if there’s anything left over, a little family vacation!
