Our love story began when I was 15 & Kaz was 16.5. We met during HS at a local park. Our school had a dodgeball competition coming up, so the teams were there practicing. Long story short, I sat down next to him because I remembered he was a skateboarder, & we became fast friends. After 2 years of close friendship, he confessed! At first, I was afraid of ruining our relationship. But after he left to Japan for 3 weeks, I realized I loved him & the night he came back, we started dating 7/22/07❤️~

I know this sounds cliché, but I honestly believe my favorite memory is the proposal. In 2018 we broke up for 3 months but miraculously got back together after some time apart. In 2019, Kaz surprised me with a trip to NC. It was my first time flying! A close friend lived down there so we went to visit him and his wife. It was ridiculously hot that day but we still went to the Duke Gardens. And then after some suspicion from me (lol), he got down on one knee and the rest is history 🥰~

Because of a spine surgery I had in 2021, graduating X-Ray school in my 30s (that got delayed because of my operation), and clearing debt I gave to myself in my 20s, it’s been quite difficult to plan a wedding. With $20k, we would finally have a small wedding and take our honeymoon in Japan. This August will be 6 years engaged and 18 years together, and although we already feel married, we would love the opportunity to celebrate with our family and friends ❤️🙏🏻~
