Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in college as theatre majors in 2017. I took a class (as a sophomore) full of seniors, including Kris, the pretty girl with SNL stickers on her laptop. Mutual friends said she was single, and I felt incredibly drawn to her. At a Shrek-themed birthday party, I tried to talk to her all night but chickened out. I left, and in a burst of courage at 2am, DM’d her on Twitter to ask her out. She said yes, we had our first date a week later, and the rest is history!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our first trip together our 2-year anniversary to Asheville. We stayed in a cozy Airbnb in the mountains, drinking hot chocolate, watching sunsets, and talking about our future. We drove along the Blue Ridge with music blasting, enjoying the cold weather and scenery. The whole experience was so peaceful & effortless, it felt like we were in another world. That trip sparked our love of travel & showed us just how naturally we move through life as a team.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’d support the people (and animals) we love most, while setting some aside for our future. Helping our parents transition into retirement means a lot to us, and as cat lovers with two of our own, we’d donate to pet rescues that gave them a second chance. We’d also save for a wedding to have a celebration of the life and love we’re building together. This gift would help us care for those who raised us, give back, and create memories that last a lifetime.
