Connect How did your love story begin?

We have actually known each other since we were 5 years old! We reunited later in high school and became best friends. Then, we started dating on 1-12-01. We have done a lot of life together. We have sung together for years and went to South Africa with a singing team to share hope with others. We got married in 2006 at the beach and have never looked back. This next year we will celebrate 20 years married. We are truly blessed to still love, and actually like each other after all these years.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We always make a point to go away for our anniversary...even years when we were poor. We've done everything from tent camping to nice places. Brice loves to surprise me. One of my best memories was leaving for our honeymoon. Our first trip just the two of us, and I didn't know where we were going. I finally figured it out when the airline employee said, "Enjoy Kauai!" as we boarded the plane. It was so gorgeous there! It was such a fun start to our lives as husband & wife! We love the beach!

What would you do with $20,000?

We have long dreamed about going to Europe for our 20th anniversary (2026), but it is not in the cards for us right now financially. If we won, we would probably spend most of it on a second vehicle for our family. Being a family of 4 with one car has been quite a challenge! Our children are coming up to driving age and we need another car. We would use the rest to pay down debt, and put ourselves in a better place financially. Then, we would try to plan our dream vacation later for our 25th.
