We are soulmates! Friends for 1 semester of college then reconnected after 16 years estranged. Stars aligned for “the one that got away.”
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We met our first semester of college, where we connected over similar music and lifestyle interests. Even after Brian’s attempts to make it something more than friends, Erika was steadfast in keeping it platonic. Brian left the school after those first three months, never to be heard from again. Over the course of 16 years, we each tried to find the other. Mere months after Brian’s wife left him and Erika was moving on from her former husband, the reconnection happened and we both instantly knew
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? There are way too many to choose one. If we must, it would be the first phone call we shared across the country (Erika was living in San Diego and Brian just outside of Erie, PA). Erika was heading to a Padres game while Brian was helping his son with homework. He said he had a question to ask and surprised himself when he asked a different question, which was for Erika to marry him. Crazy enough, answer was yes. Brian then proceeded to ask the question regarding science homework.
What would you do with $20,000?Donate a portion to a veteran organization (Brian is a combat vet) and follow our dreams of an Italian vacation.
