How did your love story begin?

As childhood sweethearts, we talked about getting married and proposals. We held hands at church and sat together in Sunday school. We didn’t date the whole time, but we were always best friends. We were there for each other for the ups and downs of life. We reconnected in college and decided to answer the “what if” question and decided to date again with the intent to marry. Our sisters had a banner at our wedding that said “We told you so!” As they always knew we would get married.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We have always supported each other through all the highs and lows of life, through the good times and bad, sickness, health, richer and poorer. From spending our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple replacing the breaks on our car, to traveling the world on school trips, we make the most of each day we’re given with one another. This year we celebrated 23 years of marriage and have been best friends since 5th grade!

What would you do with $20,000?

If we were to win $20,000, we would finally be able to go on a big vacation for our anniversary. We’ve always talked about going on a cruise. We thought we’d go for our 5th anniversary, then we said 10th, 15th, 20th… life had different plans each time with the addition of kids, and many changes in our jobs, housing, health. We have put the needs of our family first and supported the needs of others. We would finally be able to celebrate a marriage milestone like we have always wanted to!
