We were in college, standing in line at a coffee shop near campus. She was a beautiful red head standing in front of me and I said you can put her drink on my tab! She sat down with me to talk and since it was going so well she skipped her classes and we talked for hours. She came over to my house that night and never left.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We got engaged at the White House during Obama’s presidency. I’d never met her DC cousins but called asking: 1) can we stay with you, 2) can I get your SSNs for the White House guest list? I nervously smuggled the ring through 47 security checks. In the Blue Room, as she took pictures, I got on one knee and tapped her, the security guard held the room. She thought I needed help up and said “babe, I’m busy,” then realized and yelled “YEAH!” when I proposed.
What would you do with $20,000?If we won, I’d take my wife to Italy for our anniversary. She’s always dreamed of going but has only left the U.S. twice. Her family once promised her a graduation trip to Italy, but it never happened. She’s a career changer who worked in healthcare through COVID and is now earning a degree in History and Library Sciences to become a museum archivist. This trip would be the dream she’s waited a lifetime for.
