We fully dedicate ourselves to each other every day and are currently working on building a life together.
We would like to thank you for supporting Brett and Marissa in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We started off as friends. We worked together. Both of us having hard times in life we didn’t realize in the beginning how much of an impact we would have on each other. I made him soup when he was sick one day and that day was the start of everything. Weeks turned into months and soon we became inseparable and everyone noticed we couldn’t stay away from each other. We hope our love is inspiring to others. This has been the most inspiring relationship after many years of tragic love stories.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? My favorite memory will always be the beginning, before we knew how much we meant to each other. He picked flowers for me daily, made me laugh, and put every effort into gaining my attention. I thought it was all an act due to my past but little did I know this would be the true love of my life. I’ll always remember when we ran to each other just to hug for a few seconds when no one was around. To this day being in each others arms still feel the same, like reuniting with a soulmate.
What would you do with $20,000?We have a vision to hopefully get married, have more children (I have one.) and own a farm with animals. This would help us in creating the future we’ve always wanted for ourselves. Coming from nothing to something would be our story. We are working hard everyday, multiple jobs for a future family and home we never grew up to have.
