I(Katie) went with my friend to her boyfriend’s house. He wasn’t there, but his roommate, Brett was. When we met we both knew that we had just met someone who would be special in our lives but didn’t know how. When we left Brett asked if he could hug me goodbye. It was awkward but I agreed. It was the first of thousands of hugs we would share. 6 days later he told me he was falling in love with me. 35 years later we are STILL falling in love with each other over and over again every day.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?When we were raising our family we were very low income. At 29 I decided to do Direct Sales with Partylite. I worked very hard to earn a free trip every year as it was the only way we could vacation. We were able to travel the world and our favorite memories are all the sunsets we got to share together in different counties. Currently our 3 grandkids win every single other favorite moments!
What would you do with $20,000?As I said we were low income while raising our kids. We were never able to afford to take our 3 kids on a fun vacation. We would use that money to pay for a full family trip for us, our 3 kids, their spouses and our grand kids. This would feel as though I was able to complete a dream I’ve always had but never realized. We are blessed by who they are. We’d love to, just one time, give them a family vacation.
