Connect How did your love story begin?

On Bumble! It's true! I was getting so fed up with the guys my age and older, I adjusted my settings to SLIGHTLY (lol) younger and there he was! Although he almost didn't meet up with me because I am a local personality here in Raleigh, North Carolina and he thought I might be a catfish and someone pretending to be me. But it was me! We had our first date at Dram and Draught and the rest is history! We got engaged a week ago after two in a half years together.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

When he got his private pilots license we had just started dating and he wanted me to be his first (non-instructor) passenger. Talk about trust! I also hate flying! But I trusted him in that tiny Cessna to take off and bring me back to land safely and he did just that. I am so proud of his journey becoming a pilot. He is now a certified flight instructor and I'm happy to say I was his first passenger ever!

What would you do with $20,000?

We both have amazing families who we're very close to. He has a big family in North Carolina and my family is all up in New England where I'm from. Though I know the day is about the two of us, I also want to pour into our families and bring them together in a big celebration. Hotels, airfare, and venue are all so expensive and money that Braxton and I don't have right now. I would love to show our love for each other on our special day surrounded by both our families together in one place.
