Our journey started like something out of a rom-com. Maca, from Spain, came to the U.S. to work as an au pair, and fate (aka Uber Pool) brought us together on the way to the same concert eight years ago. Who knew that a random ride with a mysterious algorithm would lead to a lifetime together? Since then, we’ve been inseparable.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory as a couple is our magical trip to Iceland. At the time, we were doing long distance and figuring out what the future held. We decided to “meet in the middle” (Iceland seemed close enough to both!) and road-tripped around the island in a cozy little van, hiking, exploring, and laughing nonstop. The best part? Brandon surprised Maca by proposing—on his birthday! It was the most unforgettable trip and the sweetest start to our forever.
