Connect How did your love story begin?

We met at a dive bar with tiny tables seated next to each other, we began joking and the laughter never stopped. For our first date, Brandon took me kayaking at Triadelphia Reservoir. He fell in the water, the kayak fell off the roof of Jeep and his car alarm went off; but he kept a smile on his face and the troubles just rolled off his back. His easy going nature balanced my perfectionist tendencies. Fast forward to 2020 we purchased our first home, which backs up to the Triadelphia Reservoir.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We are true life partners, we work together and play together so it’s hard to pick a favorite memory. Music and being outdoors is a huge part of our lives, for our anniversary a few years ago we went camping with our dogs. Brandon plays guitar and sings, while I am an enthusiastic listener! He started playing and asked me to sing along, we spent the evening singing songs we knew together under the stars. Everything was aligned that evening, we cooked dinner over the fire and were truly present.

What would you do with $20,000?

After losing our only son in October 2023, we have been undergoing IVF treatments in hopes to conceive again as we have been unable to naturally since our loss. We have no living children. We want so badly to share our love with a child of our own and this money would help us towards making that a reality. We have created a beautiful life to welcome a child into and are hopeful for the future.
