Connect How did your love story begin?

We met on Tinder as UT undergrads & started running together. A few weeks in, he asked her out- she fell hard, but he was graduating soon & moving across the country. 2 days before he left, we ran a 62-mile ultramarathon, where she confessed her love & he reciprocated. 6 weeks later, he flew back to pace her through the final 50 miles of her first 100. As we ran & watched the sunrise, we knew it was real love. A few months later, she moved to Seattle to be with him, & the rest is history.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Brandon, an architect, surprised Amber with a carefully planned NYC trip, since he used to live there & wanted to share it with her, as she had never been. On a sunny day in Central Park on a quiet bench with a skyline view, he proposed to her, confessing that “More than anywhere else, this place broke my brain—ecstasy, energy, wonder, butterflies. When I met you, I felt the same, but amplified a thousand times. My greatest love in life, will you marry me?” Needless to say, she said yes!

What would you do with $20,000?

This money would give us the financial freedom to dream bigger, together- combining Brandon’s architecture background & Amber’s pediatric PT experience, we’d use it to help expand and support Go Baby Go, a grassroots org that we’re involved with that creates adapted ride-on cars for kids with mobility limitations. And of course, we’d hope to set a little aside to fund a trail running traverse through the Olympic mountains together, like we’ve always dreamed of.
