I left my ID at a gas station. I went back the next day to grab it, and the guy working was suddenly all flirty. I legit thought I was being pranked or filmed for a hidden camera show. But nope, he was serious. We started talking, realized we had a weird amount in common, went on a date the very next night… And then somehow, we were living together within a month. I have since had a Sunak cord injury resulting in incomplete quadriplegia along with bi lateral leg amputations and he has been there
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Hands down, our totally unplanned road trip to Colorado in 2014. We basically woke up one day, said “Screw it,” and hit the road with zero preparation and WAY too many snacks. We got lost, ran out of phone signal, argued over who was in charge of the music , and somehow ended up having the best time of our lives. It was chaos. Beautiful, hilarious chaos. 10/10 would get lost with him again.
What would you do with $20,000?I’d catch up on bills, fix our accessible van, and finally take a trip somewhere accessible just to feel normal again. After a spinal cord injury and losing both legs, life’s been nonstop challenges. Through it all, he’s stayed by my side every single day. We don’t just want a break — we need one.
