I was away at college, grieving the loss of my dog Flower and struggling with depression. My parents surprised me with Teddy, who came from an abusive home. I was scared he would be afraid of me. But when I flew home to meet him, he ran straight into my arms and covered my face in kisses. In that moment, all the pain lifted. It was instant unconditional love and we have been healing together ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite memory is our nightly routine. Teddy cuddles up with me while we watch Sex and the City. We have a love hate relationship with Big. We share snacks and are huge Ben and Jerry fans. We had to try their new peanut butter puppy ice cream. The first time Teddy tried it, he was so confused. He took the entire chunk in his mouth and tried to eat it whole. It is those little moments that make our bond so special.
What would you do with $20,000?If we won 20,000 dollars, it would help me pursue my dream of earning an MBA at Western Washington University. I was recently accepted into the program, and this support would ease the burden of tuition, housing, and caring for Teddy while I’m in school. It would mean the world to us.
