Together and supportive throughout 50 years of marriage.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
Met at a bar while Bob was on leave from Vietnam where he was a proud Marine. We danced and talked for hours and learned that we had a lot in common. It was hard having a long distance relationship when he was stationed abroad, but we wrote all the time and were determined to make it work.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Raising our two daughters. We regularly took family vacations, ate family dinners, and coached the girls’ teams. We supported each other during Bob’s work trips and lengthy illness.
What would you do with $20,000?Donate it to the GBS Foundation. Guillain Barre robbed Sue of more years with Bob when he got sick in October 2022. Bob was finally ready to retire and travel the world and then was struck down, paralyzed and put on a ventilator. Sue sat with him and cared for him every single day, never leaving his side. GBS is rare and funds should go to help others so they don’t have to lose their loved ones too soon.
