I was a traveling OR nurse that came to his hospital in May of 2022. When I went to lunch one day, he was in the break-room. It was during Covid and so I was wearing the hospital mandated mask. He told me later that when I sat down across from him that day, and our eyes met l, it took his breath away. Like time had stopped. He was thinking maybe I had funky teeth or a mole but when I took my mask down he thought to himself “oh man, I’m in trouble”.

Our favorite memory is one we’ve made recently. We got married on 6/28/2025, but that wasn’t our favorite memory. The favorite memory is the one we made after, in the car on the way to our mini-moon. Reminiscing about our day, talking about all of the little moments we shared together and also with our guests. It was the most magical day, straight out of a fairytale. Everyone said after it’s the best wedding they’ve ever been to and could feel the joy in the room for 2 people made for each other

We’ve desperately been wanting to buy a house but woth the wedding and our 2 little boys, Landon and Parker who are 6 and 4, daycare is expensive. Blake is an Iowa cowboy and we would love some land where we could teach the boys how to raise cattle and care for animals. We aren’t able to afford the house of our dreams but honestly it doesn’t matter because Blake and I have our little family and that’s simply enough. But with a gift of money like this we would love to make a Holt-house a home.
